Get to Know Dr. Avery Lane
Dr. Lane has been fascinated by dentistry and knew it was the career path she wanted to pursue since she was about 10 years old. She has always been drawn to the idea of helping people with their oral healthcare. The ability to make a positive impact on someone's oral health as well as overall health was something that deeply resonated with her.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Lane has been fascinated by dentistry and knew it was the career path she wanted to pursue since she was about 10 years old. She has always been drawn to the idea of helping people with their oral healthcare. The ability to make a positive impact on someone's oral health as well as overall health was something that deeply resonated with her.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Lane graduated from the University of South Florida, earning her undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences. Afterward, she was able to achieve her lifelong goal of becoming a dentist and completed her education at the Indiana University School of Dentistry. She then completed a General Practice Residency at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL.
Her education did not stop there! Dr. Lane loves to learn more about the field of dentistry where she strives to complete continuing education hours to improve patient care as the field evolves. She is currently an active member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and Spear Education.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Lane and her husband, Sam, love to travel. They want to visit all 50 states, so be sure to ask her what their most recent adventure was! When they are not traveling, they are hiking, running, or constantly keeping up with their puppy, Wyatt.
